About Asphalt

How long do asphalt driveways last?

The average asphalt driveway lasts between 12 – 30+ years. However, other factors that will determine the service life of your asphalt driveway are the level of usage, climate and how well it is maintained. A well-maintained driveway will serve you longer.

How much does asphalt cost?

Asphalt is made of tar for adhesive. Tar is far much cheaper compared to cement which is used as an adhesive for concrete driveways. This reduces the cost of asphalt driveways by half as much as concrete driveways.

How do you maintain an asphalt driveway?

Asphalt paving requires cleaning at least twice a year using a stiff broom and a hose spray to remove dirt and debris. Cracks and holes should be repaired promptly and seal coating should be done every 3-5 years.
